This is a very cool and very rare Vulcain manual wind diver watch in very good original condition dating from the 1960's. The AS 1686 17 jewel movement in this watch is running strong & keeping excellent time. The original dial with no touch-ups is marked with "VULCAIN | 17 JEWELS | T SWISS MADE T". The back of the case is marked with "SHOCK RESISTANT | ANTIMAGNETIC | STAINLESS STEEL CASE | BASE METAL INDICATOR | 100% WATERPROOF AND CONDENSATION PROOF | TESTED TO A DEPTH OF 600 FEET". The inside of the case reads: "WMR WATCH CO | CASE MADE IN HONG KONG" The movement is marked with: "VULCAIN WATCH CO. | UNADJUSTED | SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS | SWISS" as well as the AS 1686 movement identifying marks. The bidirectional rotating divers bezel rotates freely & securely. The watch keeps excellent time. This watch comes with a used black leather band.
