Rare & collectable early 1950’s Universal Geneve Polerouter with the sought after cal 138 bumper automatic movement. Designed by Gerald Genta who famously designed the AP Royal Oak. Issued to pilots from the Swedish Air Force who made it through the North Pole.

The front of the case is 18k gold capped and the case back is stainless steel. The original dial with cross hairs and just the right amount of aging reads: " UNIVERSAL | GENEVE | POLEROUTER | DE LUXE | AUTOMATIC” It also contains the applied UG logo. The back of the stainless steel case also bears the Universal Geneve insignia. The inside of the case back reads: "ACIER | INOXYDABLE | SWISS |". The markings on the movement read: "UNIVERSAL GENEVE | 138 SS | UNADJUSTED | 17 SEVENTEEN JEWELS". The UNIVERSAL bumper movement calibre is 138. This is a very nice watch, in great condition & ready to for another lifetime of enjoyment.
