Early 1940’s Universal UWECO Uni-Compax military chronograph made for the Belgian army at the beginning of WW II. This watch has been recently overhauled and is in excellent running condition. All chronograph functions work as they should. The dial is possibly original but it is in such good condition, it may have been redone at some point. Either way, it looks really fantastic! The inside of the case back is marked with: “ENVERSTEEL | 5938 | 622370 “. Enversteel was an early stainless steel alloy - it’s very rare to find early watches like this one made of “Eversteel”. “5938 is the reference number and “622370” is the serial number. The Universal cal 385 movement is marked with: “UWECO” and “385”. This watch was made to receive glue on straps.
