TU-042: 1950's Tudor Oyster Prince Oyster Date 34 Ref 7944 cal 395 "Bubbleback"
This is a beautiful 1950's Tudor Oyster Date Automatic watch made by Rolex with a stunning black dial with the Small Rose logo in excellent condition. From the outwards appearance of this watch it is very difficult to distinguish from the Rolex bubble back watches of the same time period. The very desirable Tudor (Rolex) cal 395 automatic movement is running strong & keeping excellent time. The redone black dial bears the Tudor small rose logo just below the 12:00 position. The dial identifies the watch as "TUDOR | PRINCE OYSTER DATE 34 | ROTOR | SELF WINDING | SWISS". The date feature alternates red / black - red for the even numbers days & black for the odd numbered days. The reference number is "7944" as indicated on the back of the case. The inside of the case back reads: "MONTRES TUDOR S.A. | GENEVA | SWITZERLAND | PATENTED | STAINLESS STEEL". The movement is marked: "TUDOR | SWISS PATENTED | AUTO PRINCE | 17 RUBIES | |SWISS MADE" This is a great eye catching 1950's Tudor Small Rose beauty - keeping excellent time.
