PP-003: Paul Portinoux Sea Nymph - 1950's - Excellent Original Condition - Very Rare
This Paul Portinoux “Sea Nymph” Divers Watch from the 1950’s is incredibly cool and very rare. The original black dial with dark brown kite style applied luminous mass hour markers is original and shows just the right amount of patina. Note the Art Deco style numerals on the dial makers - very cool.
The dial face reads: " PAUL PORTINOUX | SEA NYMPH | INCABOLIC | 17 JEWELS | SWISS". The back of the case reads: "WATER AND CONDENSATIN PROOF | ALL STAINLESS STEEL | CASED AND TIMED IN SWITZERLAND". The case back also displays the reference number "6067" and the serial number "69313". The inside of the case back reads: "PAUL PORTINOUX WATCH CO. | SWISS". Markings on the movement read: "PAUL PORTINOUX WATCH Co | SWISS | SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS | KWX | UNADJUSTED | 1187 / 94”
Excellent Original Condition Throughout - Original dial shows beautiful patina. The cal 1187/94 movement is running strong & keeping excellent time. Rear of case shows wear consistent with 70 year old watch, but never over polished.
