LO-007: 1930's Longines Hallmarked 14k Solid Gold Curvex Styled All Original Watch
Very classy & showy 1930's 14 k solid gold Longines Curvex styled dress watch w/ a Longines manual wind movement in excellent condition. The faded white dial looks very good and is clearly the original dial. (Note that there's a smudge to the right of the numeral "9" on the dial.) The dial face simply reads: " LONGINES". There is a professionally done art deco styled monograph personal engraving on the back of the snap down case that actually adds interest to the watch. The side of the case next to the winding crown with a hallmark to indicate that the case is solid 14k gold. The inside of the case back indicates that the watch was presented as a commemoration of 25 years of service. This personal engraving reads: "To Luther A. Drury for Distinguished Service 1914 - 1939 S.S. Kresge Co." The markings on the movement read: "LONGINES WATCH CO. | SWISS | SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS" along with the movement serial number "5743955". This is a very showy Curvex styled 1930's solid gold watch, in very good original condition & ready to wear for another lifetime of enjoyment.
