WM-025: Guildchrest Deluxe Chronograph - Valjoux 23 Movement - 1970's - Excellent
This is a truly fabulous - all original and very rare Guildchrest Deluxe Aviator Sea Diver Watch - recently serviced - the prized Valjoux 23 movement is keeping excellent time & all chronograph functions work as they should. In addition the all stainless steel case was meticulously detailed & fitted with a new crystal.This is a true beauty. This watch is very similar to a Croton Gretchen Nivada Aviator Sea Diver. The original watch dial reads: "GUILDCHREST Deluxe | AVIATOR SEA DIVER | T SWISS" along with the Tachymetre inner dial markings. The rotating black painted stainless steel bezel is in excellent condition. The stainless steel case was professionally polished with the overhaul & the case back has the appropriate brushed stainless finish. The back of the case reads: "GUILDCHREST WATER RESISTANT". The back of the case is also marked with the serial number "85004". The inside back of the case is marked with: "SOUTHWESTERN WHOLESALE JEWELRY CO | SWISS | STAINLESS STEEL" and with the case number "4076". The Valjoux 23 movement is marked: "SOUTHWESTERN WHSE CO" on the movement bridge and is also marked: "SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS | UNADJUSTED | SWISS". This recently serviced Diver Chronograph is in exceptional condition for a nearly 50 year old watch & is ready to go for another lifetime.
