This is a very cool early 1960's Elgin Skin Diver automatic watch in good original condition. The PUW cal 1461 movement is running strong & keeping accurate time. (PUW stands for Pforzheim Uhren Were - a German post war watch company. The original dial (with no signs of touch ups) is marked with "ELGIN | 25 JEWELS | AUTOMATIC". The back of the case is marked with "ELGIN | STAINLESS STEEL". The inside of the case is marked: "GRABER| SWITZERLAND" The movement is marked: "AUTOROTOR | 25 JEWELS" as well as the appropriated markings to identify this as an PUW cal 1461 movement. The rotating divers bezel works rotates freely and securely. The watch keeps accurate time and comes with an used leather strap.
