This is a very cool early 1960's Elgin 17 automatic diver watch in good original condition.  The ETA cal 1700 - 17 jewel movement  is running strong & keeping accurate time. The original dial (with no signs of touch ups) is marked with "ELGIN 17 | SELFWINDING | SWISS". The back of the case is marked with "ELGIN | SELF-WINDING | WATERPROOF | RESISTANT TO SHOCH-DUST AND MAGNETISM | STAINLESS STEEL". The inside of the case is marked: "ELGIN NATIONAL WATCH COMPANY | SWISS | 10301"  The movement is marked: "ELGIN 848 | SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS | SWISS | UNADJUSTED" as well as the appropriated markings to identify this as an ETA  cal 1700 movement. The rotating divers bezel works rotates freely and securely.  The watch keeps accurate time and comes with an used rubber "SUB" band.
