This is a very cool 1950's Croton Nivada Grenchen Automatic watch in all original very good condition sporting the ETA 1266 automatic movement. The ETA 1266 automatic movement is running strong & keeping excellent time. The dial is 100% original and shows the patina you would expect on a 70+ year old watch. This dial bears the following inscriptions: "CROTON| NIVADA GRENCHEN | AQUAMATIC | SWISS". The markings on the back of the case are: "CROTON NIVADA GRENCHEN | WATERPROOF | SELF WINDING | INCABLOC" and the serial number "61L94694". The inside of the case back reads: "NIVADA S.A. GRENCHEN | CROTON | BASE METAL | SWISS". The movement is marked: "CROTON | E38E - C2472 | NIVADA S.A. GRENCHEN | SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS | SWISS | UNADJUSTED | TO REMOVE HAMMER ASSEMBLY UNSCREW 3 SCREWS". The movement is also marked appropriately to indicate this to be an ETA 1266 automatic movement. This is a very cool 1950's Croton watch in very good condition - keeping accurate time within 1-2 minutes per day.
