It's getting harder & harder to find an early 1960's all original Super Compressor automatic diver watch in this very good original condition. The original dial of this Benrus watch is in great condition & is marked with the "BENRUS | ULTRA-DEEP | SELFWINDING | 666 FT". The original crowns bears the correct cross hatch pattern. The back of the stainless steel case is marked with: "BENRUS | ULTRA-DEEP | PRESSURE TESTED 20 ATMOS - 666 FT | ANTIMAGNETIC | SELF WINDING | STAINLESS STEEL | WATERPROOF | ANTIMAGNETIC". The inside of the Brevet case back reads: "SWISS MADE | SUPER-COMPRESSOR | BREVET + 317537 | BREVET + 337462 | 2-68 | BENRUS WATCH CO. INC | SWISS | 6089" The ETA cal 2472 movement is marked: "BENRUS WATCH CO INC. | MODEL 60 2D | SWISS | UNADJUSTED | SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS" as well as the appropriate markings to identify this as an ETA cal 2472. This is a very cool & very collectable Benrus Super Compressor automatic divers watch. It is keeping accurate time & ready for another lifetime of use.
